Synaptic und Hinzufügen und Entfernen klappt nicht??

hallo,
habe jetz endlich ubuntu 7.10 installiert..so jetz habe ich folgendes problem..also wlan über wpa läuft super und3d effekte gehen auch..jetz nur ein problem..wenn ich über hinzufügen/entfernen ein neues programm installieren will..klicke ich z.b auf k3b dann meldet der mir folgendes:
die liste der anwendungen ist nicht verfügbar und dann klicke ich auf aktualisieren..dann lädt er 6 dateien runter und wenn ichs wieder versuche kommt wieder dasselbe..und das programm xmms gibs dort gar nich in der programmliste?? und wenn ich unter synaptic die deutsche sprachdatei für firefox installieren will..gibs nich??
hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen

Vor den Servern (beginnend mit deb) eiinfach die # löschen, speichern.

Oder unter 'System -> Systemverwaltung -> Softwarequellen' die Haken bei 'Software von Drittanbietern' und' Aktualisierungen' setzen.
